1 large red onion, thinly sliced
2 teaspoons sumac
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine the thinly sliced red onions with sumac and salt. Gently massage the mixture with your hands for 30 to 60 seconds until the onions soften and release their juices.
Add apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice), olive oil, and chopped parsley to the bowl. Toss gently to coat all onion slices evenly.
