  • ½ cup granulated sugar (plus an additional ½ cup for blueberries)
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup butter (cubed)
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, ½ cup sugar, and baking powder. Mix well.

  4. Press dough into the prepared pan and bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. While cooling, prepare blueberries by tossing them with an additional ½ cup sugar.
  6. In another bowl, mix sour cream, egg yolks, and vanilla until smooth.
  7. Layer half the blueberries over the crust, followed by half the sour cream mixture. Repeat layers.
  8. Bake for an additional 45-50 minutes until set but slightly jiggly in the center.
  9. Allow to cool completely before refrigerating for at least two hours before serving.
