Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 8 oz semisweet chocolate (chopped)
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp Vietnamese coffee powder (or strong brewed espresso powder)
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chopped chocolate together until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined. Slowly pour in the melted chocolate mixture, stirring gently.
  4. In another bowl, sift together flour, salt, and coffee powder. Gently fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, followed by half of the sweetened condensed milk drizzled on top. Pour in the remaining batter and drizzle again with condensed milk.
  6. Use a knife or skewer to create swirls through the layers.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Allow cooling before cutting into squares.
