  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 3 cups freshly shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup whole milk (or non-dairy alternative)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • Optional: garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley for flavor

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5 loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold in shredded cheese.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, and melted butter until smooth. Pour into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35–40 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Let cool slightly before removing from the pan. Brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and parsley if desired.
