  • 8 slices artisan bread
  • 8 ounces burrata cheese
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 4 tablespoons balsamic glaze

  • 4 slices turkey slices
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 2 tablespoons pesto

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cherry tomato confit: In a skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil and sauté sliced garlic until golden. Add halved cherry tomatoes, oregano, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Simmer uncovered for about 25 minutes until tomatoes are soft and juicy.
  2. Toast the artisan bread until golden brown on both sides using butter or olive oil.
  3. Assemble the sandwich by spreading pesto on one side of toasted bread. Layer with arugula, turkey slices (if using), warm cherry tomato confit, torn burrata pieces, fresh basil leaves, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Top with another slice of toasted bread.
  4. For extra crispness, return the assembled sandwich to the skillet for a minute on each side before serving.
