  • 1 small chopped bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced ginger
  • 6 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt to preferred taste
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup thick cream

Instructions

  1. Heat 3 tablespoons of cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 medium chopped onion and 1 small chopped bell pepper; sauté until softened and golden (about 5–7 minutes).
  2. Stir in 2 tablespoons minced ginger and 6 minced garlic cloves; sauté for another 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add spices: 2 teaspoons turmeric powder, 2 teaspoons ground coriander, 2 teaspoons paprika, 2 teaspoons garam masala, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, and optional cayenne pepper; stir for about 1–2 minutes until aromatic.
  4. Incorporate ¼ cup tomato paste and 2 cups tomato sauce with 1 cup water; simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
  5. Finally, stir in 1 cup thick cream; cook until heated through and flavors meld (around another minute).
