  • 1.3 pounds ground beef
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried onion
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 yellow onion (diced)
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 3 cups spinach
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (drained & chopped)
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, dried onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until combined and form into four thick patties.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Sear patties for about five minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. In the same skillet, add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until soft.
  4. Stir in salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and tomato paste; cook for two minutes.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer; add spinach and sun-dried tomatoes, stirring until spinach wilts.
  6. Mix in grated Parmesan cheese until melted; return hamburger steaks to the pan to warm through.
