  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • ½ teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 3 teaspoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1½ teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ¼ cup chicken stock or water
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the marinade by mixing together vegetable oil, soy sauce, cornstarch, and brown sugar in a bowl. Add sliced chicken and toss until coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Whisk together the sauce ingredients in another bowl until smooth.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over high heat, add marinated chicken in one layer, and cook until golden brown on both sides. Remove from pan.
  4. In the same pan, sauté green beans and onion for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.
  5. Return the chicken to the pan and pour in the prepared sauce, stirring well to combine. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until thickened.
  6. Serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.
