- 1 cup salted butter (2 sticks, softened)
- 1 and 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
- 1 and 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat softened butter until smooth. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar; mix until fluffy.
- Incorporate eggs and vanilla, blending until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Use a cookie scoop to shape the dough into 1.5-inch balls and roll in a cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Place dough balls on prepared baking sheets with space in between and bake for 9-11 minutes until edges are set.
- Allow cookies to cool briefly before transferring them to a wire rack.
