  • 1 lb beef strips (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef in a mixture of soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Sauté sliced onions in vegetable oil until soft and caramelized; season with salt and pepper.
  3. In the same pan, sear the marinated beef on high heat until browned.
  4. Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and cornstarch; pour over the beef and simmer until thickened.
  5. Combine the caramelized onions with the beef mixture and serve hot over rice or noodles.
