  • 1 lb skinless boneless chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 6 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 tsp ginger powder
  • Optional: red chili flakes, green onion, orange zest, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix orange juice, vinegar, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger powder, and cornstarch to create the sauce.
  2. Cut chicken into cubes and toss with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry chicken in batches for about 6-8 minutes until golden brown. Drain excess oil on paper towels.
  4. In the same pan, simmer the sauce until thickened (about 1 minute).
  5. Add the crispy chicken back into the pan and toss to coat.
  6. Serve garnished with optional green onions, orange zest, and sesame seeds.
