  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • ½ cup crushed peppermint candy canes
  • 2 Oreo pie crusts or alternative crusts
  • 16 ounces Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. In another bowl, mix powdered sugar and softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add red food coloring, peppermint, and vanilla extracts to the cream cheese mixture; blend well.
  4. Gently fold in crushed candy canes.
  5. Combine whipped cream with the cream cheese mixture on low speed until just blended.
  6. Divide filling between two pie crusts and smooth the tops.
  7. Top with Cool Whip and sprinkle extra crushed peppermint for decoration. Chill for 1-2 hours before serving.
