  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 large egg (lightly beaten)

  • 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (for brownie dough)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for brownie dough)
  • 1/2 large egg (for brownie dough)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for brownie dough)
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for brownie dough)
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt (for brownie dough)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened butter and creamy peanut butter until smooth. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar; cream together until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in half an egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold dry ingredients into the peanut butter mixture until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, prepare the brownie dough by whisking melted butter and granulated sugar together. Incorporate half an egg and vanilla extract.
  6. Sift cocoa powder with flour, baking powder, and salt into the wet ingredients; fold gently until blended.
  7. Using tablespoon scoops, alternate spoonfuls of peanut butter cookie dough and brownie dough on a lined baking sheet to create marbled effects.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
