  • 1.25 kg chicken wings (wingettes & drumettes)
  • 50 g unsalted butter
  • 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 1 ½ tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 ½ tsp cooking salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the crushed garlic until fragrant. Stir in brown sugar, paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, thyme, oregano, and cayenne.
  3. Pour the buttery spice mixture over the wings and toss until evenly coated. Arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake for about 40-45 minutes until golden brown and crispy; baste halfway through with juices from the tray.
  5. Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.
