  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • ¼ cup corn syrup (light or dark)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves or chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix softened butter, granulated sugar, salt, and flour until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Bake crust for 10-12 minutes until just set.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, brown sugar, melted butter, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and pecans until combined.
  5. Pour the filling over the baked crust and spread evenly. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
