Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey (lean or extra-lean)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil (canola or avocado)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the neutral oil.
  2. Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon until browned and cooked through (about 6–7 minutes).
  3. Lower the heat to medium and stir in the minced garlic, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Pour the sauce into the skillet with the turkey and stir well to coat. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Stir in most of the sliced green onions for added crunch and flavor; reserve some for garnish.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles, garnished with remaining green onions.
