  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese (at room temperature)
  • ¼ cup granulated white sugar (for the cream cheese filling)
  • 1 large egg (for the cream cheese filling)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for the cream cheese filling)
  • Orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Add eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract; stir until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until creamy. Mix in one egg and vanilla extract, then add orange food coloring to reach desired shade.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Spoon dollops of the cream cheese mixture over it and swirl gently with a knife.
  5. Pour remaining brownie batter on top and bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before cutting.
