Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt (plus more to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (plus more to taste)
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)
  • 2 cloves garlic (finely diced)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable stock
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, mix together flour, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Coat each salmon fillet evenly and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Cook the coated salmon fillets for about 3 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes. Add a tablespoon of butter to baste.
  3. Remove the salmon and lower the heat to medium. Sauté finely diced garlic until golden, then pour in vegetable stock and stir to combine. Whisk in remaining butter until smooth.
  4. Return the salmon to the pan, basting gently with the sauce until warmed through. Serve with extra sauce drizzled on top and fresh lemon juice.
