  • ¾ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¾ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¾ teaspoon dried parsley
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
  • 2¾ cups chicken broth
  • ¾ cup half-and-half
  • ½ chicken bouillon cube
  • ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • ½ lb. shellbow pasta

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine dried basil, oregano, parsley, thyme, and pepper.
  2. In a large soup pot over medium heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and seasoning blend; sauté until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  3. Pour in chicken broth, half-and-half, soy sauce, and crumbled bouillon cube. Bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Stir in shellbow pasta and cook according to package instructions (approximately 8–10 minutes), stirring occasionally.
  5. Reduce heat to low; add remaining tablespoon of butter and gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Squeeze in lemon juice and mix well before serving.
