  • 1 cup Flour (or almond flour for gluten-free)
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 4 cups Cornflakes (gluten-free if needed)
  • 0.5 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • 2 tablespoons Hot Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons Butter (or plant-based butter)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 0.5 tablespoon Nonstick Cooking Spray
  • 2 teaspoons Seasoning Mix (Salt, chili powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat chicken dry and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs mixed with hot sauce, and one with crushed cornflakes mixed with brown sugar and paprika.
  4. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, then dip in egg wash, followed by the cornflake mixture.
  5. Place coated chicken on the baking sheet without touching each other; lightly spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  6. Bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. While baking, prepare the hot honey sauce by melting butter and mixing in honey, hot sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and mustard powder in a saucepan over medium heat until combined.
  8. Toss baked chicken in the hot honey sauce before serving.
