  • 12 oz penne or fettuccine
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sauté until cooked through (5-7 minutes per side). Remove chicken and slice.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (30 seconds). Stir in Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika.
  4. Add heavy cream and chicken broth; simmer until slightly thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Combine sauce with pasta and add reserved pasta water as needed for consistency. Toss well.
