  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mash bananas until smooth. Whisk in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. For the cream cheese filling, beat cream cheese with granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  6. Layer half of the banana batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture and spread cream cheese over it before topping with remaining batter.
  7. Sprinkle remaining cinnamon-sugar on top and swirl lightly with a knife.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
