  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 3/4 cups white flour
  • 1/4 cup dark cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 oz cream cheese (at room temperature)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (at room temperature)
  • 12 tbsp peanut butter (to taste)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil or melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 tbsp instant active dry yeast
  • pinch of salt
  • chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, warm the milk with oil and sugar until about 120°F. Remove from heat and sprinkle yeast on top.
  2. Mix in flour and cocoa, cover with a towel, and let rise for 1 hour.
  3. Add salt, baking powder, baking soda, and more flour as needed; knead until soft but not sticky. Let rise for another 6+ hours.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread peanut butter, sprinkle sugar and chocolate chips, then roll tightly.
  5. Cut into pieces and place in a greased pan; let rise again for 1 hour before baking at 375°F for 15-18 minutes.
  6. For the frosting, whip cream cheese, butter, peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until fluffy.
  7. Frost rolls after they cool slightly and enjoy!
