  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons dry apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef thinly against the grain and marinate with soy sauce, peanut oil, and cornstarch for about 10 minutes.
  2. Mix chicken stock, soy sauces, dry apple juice, brown sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl to prepare the sauce.
  3. Steam broccoli in boiling water for one minute until bright green and tender.
  4. Heat more peanut oil in a skillet and cook the marinated beef until browned. Add garlic and ginger; stir until fragrant.
  5. Combine beef and broccoli in the skillet with the prepared sauce, cooking until thickened.
