  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup dried Italian breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts until they are about half an inch thick; season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 6-7 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 5 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add heavy whipping cream and stir gently; allow to simmer for about 4-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese and chopped basil; mix until combined.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce, and warm through before serving.
