  • 4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter (for mashed potatoes)
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for green beans)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (for green beans)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare potatoes: Peel and cut into chunks. Boil in salted water until fork-tender (15-20 minutes).
  2. Mash: Drain potatoes, return to pot, and mash with butter and milk until smooth.
  3. Season seafood: Pat shrimp and salmon dry; season generously with Cajun seasoning.
  4. Cook shrimp: Sear in a skillet with olive oil for 2-3 minutes per side; remove from skillet.
  5. Cook salmon: Sear in the same skillet until cooked through (4-5 minutes per side); remove.
