Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tablespoons olive or avocado oil
  • 6 slices turkey bacon (diced)
  • 2 pounds brussels sprouts (trimmed and halved)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic (minced)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of oil if using turkey bacon; then add diced bacon and cook until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil along with halved brussels sprouts, salt, and pepper. Sauté for about 10-12 minutes until bright green with charred edges.
  3. Lower heat, return the crispy bacon to the skillet, and add minced garlic and balsamic vinegar. Stir gently and cover to allow brussels sprouts to steam for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
